Fellowship with others in a Church is a good thing, but for some people our most sincere times, our most connected moments are spent in nature; or as we call it; God's Chapel. John the Baptist was sent to to witness about Christ, yet the Bible tells us that John lived and preached in the wilderness and that people went out into the wilderness to hear him preach. - Matthew 3:1-6

When Jesus was on earth he used the solitude and peace of nature when faced with trying times or when he wanted to get closer to God:

Then afterwards he (Jesus) went up into the hills to pray. - Matthew 14:23

Six days later Jesus took Peter, James and his brother to the top of a high
and lonely hill. - Matthew 17:1

Then Jesus brought them to a garden grove and told the disciples to sit
down and wait while he went on to pray. - Matthew 26:36

Early the next day Jesus went out into the desert. - Luke 5:42

One day soon afterwards Jesus went out into the mountains to pray. - Luke 6:12

The Bible tells us that creation is our proof that there is a God. How can you sit by a roaring waterfall with it's endless supply of water, or sit on the edge of a mountain absorbing all the sights and sounds of life without knowing that there is a God that created it? Nature is overwhelming if you get absorbed in it. Nature is God's power, gentleness and love all laid out for us to see.

"They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the
world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they
can clearly see his invisible qualities; his internal power and divine nature. So they have no
excuse for not knowing God."  Romans 1:19-20

If you don't have a connection with nature, you are missing out. Let us open that door for you! God is waiting just on the other side. It may be just what you need to get grounded and your life on a good path. - Larry & Dianna

Need a place to fit in, a place of refuge?

"If you are looking for religion, you won't find it here. We do offer support
through shared experiences and spiritual encouragement to help you have a
better personal relationship with God." - Larry & Dianna

Are you among the many who don't fit in with the worldly crowd, but haven't found a church where you fit in either?

If so, we understand; You need someone to talk to on a personal level in a relaxed environment. Someone who has been where you are and can listen to you and relate. Sometimes when we are down and out, a Church with all the people can be overwhelming. It is easy to feel like an outsider and feel judged. Sometimes it is better to just have a friend to hang with and open up to. That is what we do best. One on one in nature.

Once you are on your feet and have a personal relationship with God, we have several churches we are associated with that can be an option for you if you want. We promise you will be welcome as you are and for who you are. We feel that a personal relationship with God is the first step though.

Come to me all you who are weary and I will give you rest.  - Matthew 11:28

Are you struggling with any of these?

Trouble dealing with difficult people, loneliness, a painful past, low self-esteem, death of a loved one, anger, hurt, a cluttered life, unhappiness, too much debt, substance abuse, stress, eating issues, a sense of purpose, raising kids, marriage, divorce, abuse, addiction to technology, no spiritual growth or no personal connection to God?

Be honest... Because if you are struggling with several of these things then you are normal. I have been talking to people from all walks of life and I get the same responses everywhere. People are unhappy and living unfulfilled lives and they have many of the issues above that are dragging them down. We can help! Read below to find out more about what we are doing and why...

Why are we doing this?

Have you ever heard the expression, "Been there, done that, got the t-shirt"? When it comes to making mistakes, that's me. I have a whole closet full of those t-shirts. Being misguided and hard headed has caused me a lot of problems over the years. Of course I didn't bring everything on myself. There were issues in my childhood that started me out in life confused and angry.

I was raised going to church where I received fairly good knowledge of the bible and had a decent relationship with God. As I got older I took my eyes off God and looked mostly at the shortcomings of other Christians in the church. I didn't feel like there was anyone I could turn to since they were all so imperfect. That made me feel alone with my problems and I turned away from the church and towards substance abuse. I tired to stay numb to avoid things I really needed to find peace with. At seventeen I attempted suicide which fortunately didn't work out. From there I headed down a path that led to a life of bad decisions and self destruction. Unfortunately, self destructive people don't only hurt themselves so I have hurt others along the way. I fell into a cycle of trying to do better and giving up. I can't count the number of times I picked myself up and fell back down again.

It is those choices and the repercussions that came with them that I can now use to talk to pretty much anyone about the struggles they may be having. My problems over the years can now benefit others;  Romans 8:28... And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Dianna and I both feel obligated to share our struggles and what we have learned so we can help others.

I understand that answers and good advice alone don't always help those who are searching for a better way. Sometimes it takes the words of someone who has been there, can look you in the eyes and share stories of personal experience. Hearing from someone who has been where you are gives you hope that you can change too. Also, having someone who has been there, that believes in you can help you believe in yourself.

What we want to share isn't only for those who are down and out or hit bottom. The average person is in a rut of debt and struggling relationships. The average person is very unhappy at the core. We ALL struggle on different levels and we want to help you find a new direction for your life.

What we have to offer is;

Freedom through forgiveness of yourself and others.
Freedom from the chains of material things.
Contentment knowing your life is in order.
A healing connection with nature.
Understanding the influence of spiritual warfare.
A personal relationship with God on simplistic terms.

We would enjoy speaking to your group no matter how small or large and we also enjoy the one on one experiences with individuals. Contact us and we will be glad to come share what we have learned so you can improve your life and the life of those around you.

What do we charge?

Simply put, we don't charge. We do this because we feel we have been called to do it. If we have been called, then God will provide for our needs as we meet the needs of others. We are open to speak to groups, take group outings and also individual (one on one) interaction with kayaking and hiking. We have found that disconnecting from the world through nature is an awesome way to help people open up and look at their life and viewpoints in a new way. It's easier to see yourself honestly when you step back and take a look. You know, the whole forest for the trees thing! Check out our hiking and kayaking pages on this site for more information!

We do accept donations because the support we get enables us to spend more time helping people through speaking and outings. We hope that we are able to bring peace and understanding into the lives of many, since that will be the ultimate return for our effort.  - Coov aka HNF

Check out the videos below. We have found these to be great
testimony to what is real in life and what is really important.

Here is a great example of why we need to get out into nature and away from everything in order to think and clear our minds. From A. Z. Tozer The Pursuit of God... (Paraphrased by HNF)

"God and the spiritual world are real. We can consider them with a s much assurance as we consider the familiar world around us. Spiritual things (good and bad) are here inviting our attention and challenging our trust.

 Our trouble is that
we have established bad thought habits. We think of the visible world as real and doubt the reality of the other. We do not deny the existence of the spiritual world but we doubt that is as real or important as what we can see, feel and hear.

The visible, audible world consumes our attention day and night our entire lifetime. It is loud and insistent. It doesn't appeal to our faith; it is here assaulting our five senses, demanding to be accepted as real and final."

HNF... It is difficult to hear God in our daily life. We can talk to him, but how can you hear his reply between the phone calls, texts, radios, TV, traffic, people and daily problems? In nature, away from the things of this world; on that cliff or next to that waterfall or even a quiet place in the back yard... that is where we can hear God's voice the best. What good are our prayers to him if we don't stop and listen to the reply? We wouldn't ask a person for help or answers and then walk away without listening, but yet we do it to God all the time. Without meaning to we include God in our life with prayer, but exclude him in our life. - Coov aka HNF

Take some time each day to be quiet, to listen. "Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10"
