This pond was more of a challenge than most. Usually I build a water feature and then the landscaping is done around it when completed. In this case, the area dedicated to the construction was surrounded by a stone walkway, a bush, a front porch and the posts from a pergula. In the end everything worked out great.
When I first did a quote on the pond, I took photos of the area to be used and then created a digitally enhanced photo to show a rough representation of the final project. I have included those photos below for you to see. I am not always able to produce the computer drawing, but try to do so when possible.
The customers did the final landscaping and did a spectacular job. We also added a 650 lb boulder that I spotted at the stone yard. It really completed the project. - Larry
The proposal...
As I mentioned above, when I gave the estimate I created a computerized image of what the pond would look like. This was emailed to the customer along with the cost. The series of photos below shows the site before, the computerized image and the completed rough-in.

How it was done...
Below are two sets of slides that show the work that I put into building a pond. It is very labor intensive and permanent. Most ponds take about 2-3 weeks for completion.
