This was a cool project.
An above ground pool was installed in a planned location. An upper deck was built and then a lower deck around the pool was constructed. A platform was built for a base for a waterfall, the inside of that base was designed to serve as the pump house. There were a lot of different large scale components that had to come together just the right way.

Once the framing and deck was complete, the construction of the waterfall began. A foam base served to get the basic shape, then concrete was added and carved to form the actual rock and boulder waterfall.

A tiki bar was on the list of projects. It has a thatched roof, seashell countertop, sink, fridge, freezer, ceiling fan and bamboo finish on the front. There are also inlaid carved stone drink coasters on the countertop.

The customer finished off the project with some artificial palm trees that I had found on the internet. The palm tree next to the tiki bar has coconuts that spray water (hot & cold) to form a shower. He also installed a gas log firepit to sit around on cool nights. The pool water is also heated.

Check out the photos, they don't do it justice, but you can get a really good idea of the extent of work and planning that went into this project!   Larry
